GUEST: Dede Smith, a member of the Charlottesville City Council has some eye-opening revelations about the on-going plans to design the future of West Main Street, the critical corridor connecting downtown with the University of Virginia. The City spent $350,000 on a team of consultants who worked for over a year to provide a plan that Dede says is so un-workable, un-affordable and un-realistic that it’s “falling apart.”
